Schoolgirls raised their voices in song to treat a church congregation to Christmas carols at a festive concert.
Pupils at all-girls La Sainte Union Catholic School in Highgate Road, Dartmouth Park, performed traditional tunes at St Joseph’s Church in Highgate Hill, Highgate, on Wednesday.
Members of the school’s renowned gospel choir, LSU Voices jazz group and the Year 13 choir sung a mixture of traditional hymns and international songs, including Nigerian carol Betelehemu and The Truth From Above by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Head of music Tom Dobney said: “The congregation left with the glow of the Christmas spirit, aided by a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie, all around them.”
