WOMEN'S UEFA CUP, QUARTE-FINAL, FIRST-LEG Kim Little struck ten minutes from time to give the Gunners a 3-2 first leg lead in their Womens' Uefa Cup quarter final against Umea IK on Thursday night.

The Scottish teenager scored from 18 yards after a topsy-turvy clash at Boreham Wood to give Arsenal a slight advantage ahead of the second leg in Sweden next Wednesday, Jayne Ludlow had headed Vic Akers' side into a second minute lead but goals from Mami Yamaguchi and Frida Ostberg had turned the game on its head to hand the initiative to two-times European champions Umea, who were defeated by Arsenal in the final of this competition in 2007.

But Arsenal staged a stunning late fightback when Scotland skipper Julie Fleeting came off the bench to level matters from close range 13 minutes from time before compatriot Little's moment of glory three minutes later when she pounced to score after her initial effort was saved by Umea 'keeper Ulla-Karin Rönnlund.
