A MURDER investigation has been launched after a 29-year-old transsexual was found collapsed at her home in Kentish Town.
Police were called to Leighton Crescent just before 1am last Thursday morning where they found the woman, named as Destiny Lauren, lying on the floor of the flat.
She was rushed by ambulance to the Royal Free hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at 1.35am.
Next of kin have been informed of Ms Lauren's death.
A post-mortem examination at St Pancras Mortuary on November 6 gave a provisional cause of death, but the results of further tests are awaited.
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC) are investigating.
A 35 year-old man has been arrested in connection with investigation, and is in custody at a north London police station.
