Kentish Town pub celebrates another award

The landlords of a Kentish Town pub have celebrated winning their second award since taking over management two years ago.
The Grafton, in Prince of Wales Road, has been named winner of the Best Partnership Pub for the south east and London region in the Great British Pub Awards 2014.
The award recognises licensees that have “successfully worked with their pub company to develop their business in the past year”.
The pub, which is run by Joel Czopor and Susie Clarke, has seen boosted trade from its new roof terrace and has hosted a range of events to ensure it remains busy beyond peak drinking hours, a challenge leaving many pubs facing closure.
Last year The Grafton won the UK’s Best Entertainment Pub title.
Ms Clarke said: “It’s a great honour and we’re really chuffed.
“We’re looking forward to the swanky awards ceremony at the Hilton later this month.
“There we’ll be in contention for the champions of champions title of ‘Great British Pub of the Year’.”
The award ceremony will take place on September 11 where the pair will be joined by other landlords from across the country.
