Kentish Town man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after shooting

A Kentish Town man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was shot in Gospel Oak.

The 26-year-old man was detained by police on Tuesday (June 26) at 6pm at his home address and taken for questioning. He has been bailed to return to a north London police station on August 29.

The arrest follows a shooting in Weedington Road in the early hours of May 25. An 18-year-old woman was found by a passer-by, lying in the road with a gunshot wound to her leg.
