Hoping to bring a bit of Tel Aviv to Camden, organisers at the JW3 opened their new pop-up beach to the public over the weekend.

Beach cocktails, deckchairs and summer grills all arrived to Finchley Road, with organisers saying they hope to provide residents an “oasis of calm” amid bustling traffic.

Featuring real sand set against a backdrop of a Tel Aviv skyline, the beach will allow families to “relax and soak up the sun”.

Open until August 25 (everyday except Saturday), it will host a full line-up of activities and events for a range of ages, including deckchair speed-dating, live music, talks, beach games and grilled food with cocktails. A full programme can be found at jw3.org.uk.
