Marylebone resident John Falding was on the phone to his girlfriend Anat Rosenberg, 39, when the bomb on Tavistock Square bus exploded, killing her and 13 others. He said: "On Monday, I remembered at the time she left home, the last time I saw her. At 9.47am, I thought about her and said goodbye again - as I have every year since it happened. I bought a bunch of red roses and took it down to Tavistock Square and laid it alongside other flowers. I can't remember what I else I did because it's all a daze, it's still very surreal.

"When you are thinking of someone every minute and living the event at every other minute, it's as vivid today as if it was yesterday. So many lives were affected by something so pointless." Mr Falding, who turned 65 on Tuesday, added: "No birthdays are happy now, they're all difficult.
