Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation patron Juliet Stevenson visited the new Greens of Highgate shop in Muswell Hill last week to celebrate its contributions to a community food bank.
The shop donates food to a food bank run by the Ringcross Community Centre in Holloway Road.
She said that families are dependent on food banks was "shocking" and thanked Ricky Green, who opened his first shop in Highgate in 2016 and expanded into premises on Muswell Hill Road in October, for his "generosity and sense of community".
The charity's founder Lindsey Wylie - who founded it in memory of daughter Alexandra who died of cancer in 2010 aged just 17 — added: "The problem is so large that there is no way we could support the 75 families, who are in need, without Ricky's incredible support."
