Circus acts, seasonal songs and festive food put Highgate’s citizens into the Christmas spirit last Thursday.
Students from Highgate School served a Christmas roast and mince pies at the monthly lunch club for older residents at arts venue Jacksons Lane, in Archway Road, Highgate.
Irene Forrester, who has performed in West End musicals The Lion King and Hairspray, serenaded visitors while actress Carolyn Pickles, who appeared in hit ITV drama Broadchurch, did a comic reading of The 12 Days of Christmas.
People come from all over the borough for the lunch, funded by The Highgate Society. The student volunteers spend time chatting as well as serving food.
