There was double success for Muswell Hill’s ladies as the first team were crowned Middlesex county scratch champions for the third year in a row and the newly-formed second side won promotion at the first attempt.
The first team played their semi-finals and final of the Division One Middlesex county scratch competition on the same day at Mill Hill, initially facing Pinner Hill in the final four in the morning.
After a close-fought set of matches, Muswell Hill triumphed 3-2, sending them into a showdown with Wyke Green – and they won four of their five matches and halved the other one to take the title once again.
Meanwhile, the second team were also out on the course at Mill Hill, and they beat Northwood in a play-off to gain promotion from Division Three in their first season, securing a spot in Division Two for 2016.
