An Israeli actress delivered a powerful one-woman performance promoting peace and unity between Israelis and Palestinians in a Temple Fortune bookshop.
Judith Korin, 57, premiered self-written drama HerStory: Women of Israel at Joseph’s Bookstore, in Ashbourne Avenue, to a packed house of more than 50 audience members on Sunday.
The mother-of-one, theatrical director of the Zamarin Theatre in Israel, performed the 70-minute show, exploring the stories of five Israeli and Arab women, as part of a brief trip to visit friends in the UK.
She said: “I wanted to deliver a message which is a message of co-existence. It was a message of healing and transformation.
“It’s connected to the presence of woman, it’s a feminine message of compassion and being united.”
