A pop-up exhibition of photographs documenting an extraordinary journey from Camden to the Indian mountains has gone on show in a piano shop.

A Journey in the Himalayas, a collection of 20 photographs depicting a journey through the Ladakh and Zanskar regions of the Indian Himalayas, was on show in The Piano Shop, in Camden Lock Market, Camden Town, between January 23 and 25.

Last year, Desmond Gently, owner of repair shop Camden Piano Rescue, set off on a challenge to hand deliver a piano from Camden to an isolated north Indian community in the remote valley of Lingshed.

A team of 20 took part in the impressive hike organised under the guidance of Ramesh Kumar Wattal from tour operator High Places and successfully delivered the piano to local schoolchildren.
