Archant

Hundreds of children flocked to Primrose Hill Community Library last week as author Lauren Child arrived to sign copies of her latest book.

The esteemed writer, who is responsible for many much-loved children’s books such as the award-winning Charlie and Lola series, is fresh from writing The New Small Person – a picture book telling the story of a child awaiting the arrival of a new sibling.

Sumbo Abiola, manager at the library, said: “It was a great event, the queues were very long, and everyone had a good time.

“Loads of kids meant loads of happy faces.

“Everyone got a chance to meet Lauren, taking loads of photos, and getting their books signed.”
