This is the corpse of an emaciated dog found dumped in woodland in Crouch Hill.
It is one of two dogs, a mastiff and a rottweiller type, which were both extremely underweight and probably died from starvation.
RSPCA Inspector Leigh Summers said: "It looks as though these poor dogs starved to death and were then just dumped in woodland. It is unbelievably cruel."
Anyone with any information on the dogs is asked to contact RSPCA Inspector Summers on 0300 1234 999. All calls will be taken in confidence.
