A HORNSEY man has been jailed for attempting to abduct and 11-year-old from a Crouch End park.
Derrick Pewter, 60, of Pembroke Road was handed an indeterminate sentence on Friday at Wood Green Crown Court, with a recommendation he serve a minimum of three and a half years behind bars.
He had pleaded guilty to attempted child abduction and attempted child abduction for a sexual purpose at an earlier hearing.
The sentence relates to an incident near Priory Park on August 9 last year, when the victim was walking alone along Middle Lane.
