A HIT and run motorcyclist knocked over a pedestrian and then abused him as he lay injured in King's Cross last night (Wednesday).

The rider smashed into the man as he crossed Euston Road just before 7pm with a group of pedestrians.

He then got off his bike and hurled insults at the victim as he lay writhing in agony in the middle of the road. The motorcyclist then sped off before an ambulance and police cars arrived.

Witness Richard Green said: "The guy was on the floor riling in pain and there were three or four people who were crossing at the same time who helped him. The rider managed to control his bike and then got off and went over to the victim and started accusing him while he was lying on the floor.

"At that moment all he should have been worried about was whether he was ok or not. Luckily there was a lady who managed to take down his number plate before he rode off.
