A treasured community centre is calling for donations so it can offer the elderly and vulnerable its services for free.
Highgate Newtown Community Centre, Bertram Street, Highgate, needs to raise £25,000 to be able to offer exercise classes, a lunch club and other activities to the most isolated members of the community.
It needs to raise the money by January to ensure it can offer services for nothing in 2016.
It hopes to offer a range of exercise classes, monthly pottery lessons and other sociable clubs for people who will not be under any obligation to pay for them.
