Arsenal's Eurochamp Cesc Fabregas has been warned to 'keep off the grass' when he moves into his plush new Hampstead pad.

Cesc, who had the Spanish fans and media in raptures with his performances for all-conquering Spain in the knockout stages of the Euro 2008 tournament, he has just splashed out on £5million on a luxury pad on West Heath Road.

Fabregas will be in the lap of luxury in his new pile of bricks, which features a 60 square foot garden for the maestro to hone his kick-ups, a wine cooler to keep celebratory Cristal on ice and an integrated home entertainment system so he can catch widescreen highlights of his penetrating through-balls.

But while his decision to lay down roots in north west London will be music to the ears of Arsenal fans after he had been linked to a move to Real Madrid, a tongue-in-cheek Tony Gilchik, from the Heath and Hampstead society, said: "If he starts playing football in the long grass on the Heath and squashing it we'll get a bit upset; we hope he'll stick to the mowed football pitches."

Happily, it now seems certain that Spain's Euro hero will again be showing off his creative skills for another season at least at The Emirates Stadium, starting ironically enough with a game against suitors Real Madrid and another against Juventus in the first weekend of August.
