English Heritage is yet to decide which company will organise the popular Kenwood concerts next year.

The organisation, which owns Kenwood House, and concert managers IMG, announced in January that they would not be working together again.

The move led to this year’s lakeside concerts being cancelled.

The event had run almost continuously since 1951.

Stars in recent years have included Tom Jones, Liza Minnelli, Blondie and James Blunt.

An English Heritage spokesman said: “The contract for an organiser of the summer picnic concerts is currently out to tender so there is very little we can say at the moment.”

Kenwood House will be closed until next autumn for major works, including urgent repairs to the roof and the exterior of the neo-classical house.
