Archant

There was the famous tabloid story of a man spotting the face of Jesus in his Kit-Kat.

But now The Freud Museum, in Hampstead, has taken the biscuit by reproducing the face of the founder of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud on a cookie.

The biscuits will be handed out at the museum shop for free as part of a special Christmas shopping event on sunday.

Also on sale at the museum, in Maresfield Gardens, are the aptly named Freudian slippers, an Ego drinks coaster and Freud finger puppets.

There will be a discount on all online products on the day.

The shopping event is part of Museum Shop Sunday - where customers are being encouraged to do their Christmas shopping in cultural organisation shops to coincide with black Friday on November 24.

Over 100 museums across the UK are taking part in the event organised by the Association for Cultural Enterprises.

All proceeds from the day will go towards the museum.

Other organisations taking part include the Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Roald Dahl Museum, British Library, Barbican Centre, Design Museum and London Transport Museum.
