Police were called at 2am on Tuesday morning last week after a vehicle was taken without the owner's consent in Willoughby Lane in Tottenham.

Following a pursuit, the vehicle was found abandoned in Rhodes Avenue, Muswell Hill and an air support unit was launched.

The police helicopter spotted a man running across Muswell Hill golf club and informed officers, who were able to detain a man in Grosvenor Road.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and bailed until May 11.
