HEATH lovers are being urged to go bonkers again at the annual conker championships this autumn.
The seventh annual Hampstead Heath Conker Championships are taking place on October 5 with knock-out rounds in five age categories for children and adults.
"The championships are a great chance for all the family to explore one of London's best-loved open spaces. We want people to polish up their conkers and join us," said Heath leisure and events manager Paul Maskell.
An Autumn Stories Walk kicks off proceedings at 11am at the Heath Education Centre next to the Parliament Hill Lido, while the conker competition starts at 3pm at the Parliament Hill Bandstand. Entry is free and conkers will be available.
