Spring arrived in style at The Whittington Hospital as they received a tradition gift of daffodils from Her Majesty The Queen.
The springtime gift is delivered to selected hospital across London and sent from the Queen’s Sandringham Esate - a tradition that goes back 30 years.
Philippa Davies, director of nursing and patient experience at the hospital received the delivery and distributed them to wards for patients to enjoy.
She said: “It is a real honour to receive such a special spring delivery. Our daffodils are starting to bloom and are already helping to make stays and visits to our hospital a little brighter.”
