PROTESTERS lined the streets of Camden Town to march against private companies joining the NHS.
The Camden Keep Our NHS Public campaign demo began at Mornington Crescent on Saturday and culminated with members delivering a "love the NHS" Valentine's Day card to Camden Primary Care Trust bosses at noon.
A spokeswoman said: "The protest has been called in response to Camden's PCT's confirmation that further primary care services will be put out to tender later this year."
In January 2008 private American health firm United Health Europe took control of the Camden Road Practice, King's Cross Road Practice and the Brunswick Medical Centre.
