Camden NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has sought to reassure patients about the future of Primrose Hill doctors surgery, after the building is up for sale.

The surgery, in Regent’s Park Road, has more than 6,000 patients and serves Camden’s largest assisted housing scheme, the Oldfield Estate.

The building has recently been bought by the Hacking Trust, and is currently for sale with Acuitus, and Exclusive Property Sales auction houses.

Exclusive Property Sales currently have it listed for £3.5million.

Members of the Primrose Hill Patient Participation Group (PPG) have raised concerns about its future usage.

Doro Marden is a member of the Primrose Hill group. She said: “The PPG has been following this and are aware of the sale. If it is sold to someone who wanted to change the premises, they might want to change it to residential.”

They are holding a meeting for patients at Primrose Hill Community Library, on Sharpleshall Street tonight, at 6.30pm.

According to Camden CCG, the prospective buyer of the building has experience of managing GP surgeries.

Camden CCG interim director of primary care, Meena Mahil said:“Primrose Hill Surgery is in discussion regarding a lease for their premises, with support from Camden CCG. This is a standard process and we don’t anticipate any change for patients.

“If there are any changes in the future, the CCG will work closely with the practice to ensure that all patients continue to have uninterrupted access to a local GP.”
