The Jeremy Kyle Show’s DNA testing lab - and its Kentish Town walk-in centre - has been honoured by the Queen for offering the fastest DNA results in the world.
The Camden centre is owned by AlphaBiolabs - the only lab trusted by the Jeremy Kyle Show to carry out paternity and DNA tests for guests on the ITV show.
The company has now won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its efficient DNA walk-in centres, like the one in Camden, which allow clients to provide a sample without an appointment and provide the results the next day.
Rachel Davenport, director at AlphaBiolabs, said: “When we started working with Jeremy Kyle, we had to perfect a super-fast service to meet their strict deadlines. Our geneticists are able to provide the programme with the test results by 10am to fit in with their filming commitments.
“It was the development of this system which subsequently inspired us to offer the fastest DNA testing service in the world to all our customers.”
