A watchdog for patients and carers in Camden to comment on their health services has been launched.

Healthwatch Camden is an independent watchdog that will give people a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social services are being provided.

It is part of a London-wide scheme to create a watchdog in each borough, with money from the Department of Health.

Not only will the organisation help with advocacy and support for people if they need to complain about the NHS, but it will also offer advice.

Frances Hasler, director of the new body, said: “Healthwatch Camden will actively engage with the people of Camden and make sure they have a real say in services, and a strong voice to challenge when necessary.”
