THE fight to control infections such as Clostridium Difficile and MRSA is the focus of a new campaign at the Royal Free Hospital.
New posters and leaflets featuring messages about hand washing, using sanitising hand gels and emphasising the government's "bare below the elbow" uniform code are being distributed to wards and departments throughout the Hampstead hospital.
Vicky Pang, specialist sister in infection prevention and control, who features in the posters said it was important that visitors, patients and staff all take heed of the advice.
"We've made amazing progress reducing the number of infections at the Royal Free but we need to keep re-enforcing the message that we all have a role to play in preventing hospital infections," Sister Pang said.
