A HARINGEY Labour councillor has finished third in David Cameron's Oxfordshire seat.
Joe Goldberg, who is standing as a Labour councillor in Seven Sisters ward in the Haringey local elections, received 7,511 votes in Witney. The Conservative Leader David Cameron sailed home with 33,973 votes.
The Liberal Democrat candidate Dawn Barnes came second with 11,233 votes.
Mr Goldberg looked glum as he stood behind a victorious Mr Cameron.
Mr Cameron said the results so far showed that there was a clear mandate for change.
"I believe it's already clear that the Labour Government has lost its mandate to govern." he said.
