Workers broke out the wine and cake to mark the first anniversary of a business group that has brought them closer together.

Members of the Hampstead Hub, who refer to themselves as “Hubees”, celebrated at the Aubaine restaurant in Hampstead High Street, Hampstead, last week.

Co-founder Melissa Vangeen, a partner at law firm Solomon Taylor & Shaw in Coach House Yard, said: “It’s been a great year – from the seed of an idea to still going strong one year on is really encouraging.

“Obviously local businesses and shops have been having a hard time. That’s really the seed of the idea and it’s just grown from there. A lot of people who came along said it’s not only great to meet other people who work and have businesses in the area, but the Hub is generating work amongst local business.”

The group meets once a month and has so far raised £1,080 for charity.
