Broadcaster Henry Kelly helped a golf club to raise more than £12,000 at a charity event.

The Hampstead TV presenter supported the 16th annual Highgate Golf Day at Highgate Golf Club in Denewood Road, Highgate, last week to raise money for the North London Hospice (NLH), which cares for terminally ill patients in Barnet and Haringey.

Twenty-four teams putted against a backdrop of blue skies and sunshine before enjoying games, a barbecue dinner and a charity auction. In total, the event raised £12,500. Organiser David Stenhouse said: “The North London Hospice does fantastic work. We are delighted to contribute to their funds once again.”

Tracy Annunziato, fundraising events manager for NLH, said: “The Highgate Golf Day has raised a huge amount of money for the hospice over the years.”
