THIS year’s Hampstead and Highgate Literary Festival was a roaring success attracting thousands of book lovers from all over London.

The festival, held at the London Jewish Cultural Centre in Golders Green between Sunday and Tuesday, attracted bookings from as far as Moscow and sold double the number of tickets than last year.

Boasting a line-up of 50 events and 78 authors over three days, it hosted some of the arts world’s biggest names, including Martin Amis, Lionel Shriver and Tracy Chevalier.

Giles Coren, the award-winning restaurant critic and columnist for The Times, the novelist Joanna Trollope and acclaimed writer and director Steven Berkoff were among the guest speakers.

The Ham&High was honoured to jointly organise the event with the London Jewish Cultural Centre (LJCC) for the second year running.
