THE Ham&High reporting team raised nearly £600 for Comic Relief during their Red Nose Day walkabout today.

The gang of seven donned fancy dress for the special event.

News Editor Ed Thomas, who dressed as a dragon, led the team including Ben McPartland, Katie Davies, Susanna Wilkey, Charlotte Newton, Robyn Rosen and Josie Hinton.

The cashpot so far is £578.76 - and more is expected to trickle in before the final count on Monday.

The team visited Hampstead, Highgate, Crouch End and St John's Wood during their travels.

Ed said: "It was a brilliant day. Everyone was really generous and donated lots of money and we made a lot of people laugh along the way."
