An author and food critic for the Ham&High signed dozens of copies of his latest book at a Hampstead bookshop last week.

Waterstones in Hampstead High Street dedicated an entire window display to Joseph Connolly’s 11th book, The A-Z of Eating Out, last week.

The book lists 150 entries about everything to do with dining out, from charity dinners to best breakfasts.

Mr Connolly advises readers on days to avoid visiting restaurants – such as Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day – and how to complain after an unsatisfying meal. About 30 people queued to have their copies signed.
