Caretaker boss Stewart Houston orders his players to rest after they warm up for their ECWC semi-final second leg at Sampdoria with a 4-0 win at Aston Villa to move to tenth place in the Premiership.
David Seaman saved a penalty from Dean Saunders while Ian Wright and John Hartson hit two apiece to seal the win.
"I have told them all to go to bed and get some rest," says Houston, whose side beat the Italians 3-2 in the first leg.
Three days later the Gunners go down 3-2 in Genoa to draw the tie 5-5 - but go through after a shootout victory in which Seaman, again, was a penalty hero, keeping out no less than three of the Italians' spotkicks.
