Tony Woodcock limps off at Aston Villa as sixth-placed Arsenal earn a point in a boring goalless draw in front of 15,487 at Villa Park.
The England striker, with seven goals in his three previous outings at Villa, including five in a 6-2 win in October 1983, faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
"It's a hamstring injury and at the moment it looks bad," admitted manager Don Howe.
"I just hope we've caught it in time. He had a similar injury last year and was out for a long time."
Woodcock will be out for the rest of the season.
