1995:
Porto insist their manager Bobby Robson must stay in Portugal - despite Arsenal's attempts to install him in the Highbury hot-seat.
Gunners vice-chairman David Dein has been courting the former England boss, who has a year left to run on his contract, but Porto president Pinto da Costa says: "We have been fantastically successful under him and we are not about to let him go without a fight.'
Meanwhile, legendary Highbury striker Ted Drake passes away at the age of 82.
The Southampton-born forward, one of the stars of the all-conquering 1930s side, scored 123 times in just 168 league appearances between 1934 and 1939.
