Double-winning skipper Frank McLintock pays tribute to George Graham's young guns after they beat Spurs 2-1 at White Hart Lane to reach the Littlewoods Cup final.

Arsenal fought back from a goal down to score twice late on - and the Scotsman, who was in the crowd just days after being sacked as Brentford boss, was impressed.

"'Like us in the 70s, they've got players who hate to be beaten," said McLintock, who watched the game with previous manager Don Howe.

"I couldn't help feeling sorry for Don sitting there with him. George has quite rightly taken all the credit and done a smashing job, but Don encouraged a lot of this success and it's all been forgotten."
