A crowd of more than 18,000 turn out for Ray Kennedy's testimonial at Highbury - 20 years after his goal at Tottenham sealed the title for Arsenal.

A Liverpool XI beat a team of Arsenal players past and present 3-1 - but the most important statistic is the 100,000 raised for the retired striker, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's after a trophy-laden career with both clubs.

He said : 'I couldn't have wished for a nicer day. Everywhere I turned there was a famous face: Bertie Mee, Charlie George, John Radford, Tommy Smith. I don't know what the future holds, but this is a start.'
