POLICE are advising people to leave their valuables behind when they come to visit Hampstead Heath this summer.
The Ham&High reported a series of incidents on and around the Heath last week. Since then, other crimes have taken place. On Thursday last week, a teenager was robbed at knifepoint by a man wearing a balaclava. Constabulary manager for the Heath Richard Gentry said: "The message is, 'Come to the Heath and enjoy it - but don't bring anything valuable.'
People should take precautions. They need to be aware of what they bring onto the Heath. It is more advisable to come at 2pm rather than 2am.
