Highgate councillor Sian Berry has been chosen as the Green Party’s candidate for next year’s Mayor of London election.
Cllr Berry, who represents the ward at Camden Council, was selected last night after winning a ballot of party members.
The transport campaigner has stood for Mayor of London once before in 2008, when she came fourth.
The Green Party came third at the last 2012 Mayoral elections, beating the Liberal Democrats into fourth place.
Cllr Berry wrote on Twitter: “Thanks again @LonGreenParty for putting me back on the campaign trail. London needs us!”
