Parents of primary schoolchildren have been stretching their vocal chords on national radio.

The Gospel Oak School Parents Choir sang for BBC Radio 3 on September 21 as part of a “global choral initiative” celebrating World Peace Day.

Their performance of the standard What A Diff’rence A Day Made was recorded outside Broadcasting House, Regent’s Park, and then broadcast on Radio 3’s The Choir programme.

The One Day One Choir project aims to promote peace and unity across the globe, with choirs in 36 countries taking part.

Choir member Imogen Sharp said: “It was a very positive event and a really fantastic feeling to be part of something like that, with choirs and thousands of children across the globe getting involved.”
