Tuxedos and ball gowns didn’t stop guests putting on a golf course’s green at a glamorous fundraising ball in aid of new faciltiies at a secondary school.
Suited and booted parents, grandparents and alumni of Channing School, in The Bank, Highgate, gathered for an exclusive evening of live music, golf and dancing at Highgate Golf Club in Denewood Road on Saturday (June 14).
The ball raised a colossal £34,000 in aid of the school’s Capital Challenge, a bid to raise £3million for a sports hall and performing arts centre.
Helen Tranter, director of development, said: “It was a fantastic occasion, and the weather was very kind to us, with the sun coming out as we had drinks on the terrace.”
