ANYONE who wants to enjoy a Christmas drink at a South End Green pub will have to get their skates on.
It is not because the Garden Gate pub is fast becoming booked out but because its outdoor area, usually packed with tables and chairs, will be filled with ice.
On the weekend of December 13-14, the pub will have its very own ice rink to raise money for charity.
It will be free to customers but they will be asked to make a donation to the Royal Free Hospital's children's ward.
Patients and staff from the ward will also make the short trip to the rink.
