Gang of thieves strike at Hampstead opticians

ROBBERS stole several sets of glasses from an opticians in Hampstead after pushing the shop assistant aside.

The four men entered the shop in Heath Street at 4.40pm on last Thursday, January 14, and browsed the shop before asking a female staff member to open a display cabinet.

When she said she did not have the keys one of the suspects said: "I don't want to hurt you, so just move out of the way."

He then pushed her aside, grabbed the keys from where they were kept and opened up the cabinet. The suspects, three of whom were white and one of whom was black, were aged between 17 and 19 and wore jeans. They ran away along Heath Street.
