Hundreds of mourners turned out to pay their final respects to Tufnell Park murder victim Elliot Guy.

Golders Green Crematorium was forced to relay Friday's service onto TV screens as more than 400 people arrived to say goodbye.

The funeral came exactly six weeks after he was attacked at a party and stabbed in the neck. A horse-drawn carriage brought the coffin from the family home in Highgate Road, Kentish Town, led by his younger brother Lewis, 16.

"What happened to Elliot really hit me during the funeral service. It was like when I first heard the news, it really set me back," said mother Sally Jayne Brown.

"Everyone had so many beautiful things to say about him. It made me feel so proud."

Afterwards, mourners filed to the Old Bull and Bush pub on North End Road.

But the family and Mr Guy's long-term partner Amy Smith and their four-month-old daughter Eleanor will not be able to come to terms with his death until his killers are brought to justice.

Last month three people arrested just after the murder were released without charge, but one other man remains on bail.

"I feel I am in a nightmare I am waiting to wake up from," added Ms Brown. "I know justice will be done because God is not asleep.
