Film and TV actress Anna Chancellor spoke about her life and career before a Hampstead audience this week.

Ms Chancellor, who played Henrietta “Duckface” in 1990s hit Four Weddings and a Funeral and Lix Storm in BBC drama The Hour, was in conversation with radio producer Piers Plowright at Burgh House, New End Square, last week.

The sold-out event was the latest in the Lifelines series of talks in aid of the historic building in New End Square.

Mr Plowright said: “She was absolutely delightful. She was extraordinarily open and she spoke about how some actors get there very fast and then almost sort of detonate, but she has taken her time.

“She feels now at nearly 50 she is coming into her prime.”
