Fortismere School in Muswell Hill posted its best ever A-level results today and now has six students bound for Oxbridge.

Ninety-nine per cent of students passed and eight per cent of all exams taken were graded A*.

Top student Lara Spencer achieved three A* grades and is off to study physical and natural sciences at Cambridge University.

She said: "I'm feeling ecstatic. I was hoping for these results but I still wasn't sure.
