Heathman spent an evening at the Savoy last week and was delighted to find a loyal Ham&High reader among the famous faces visiting the historic hotel.

Last Thursday, Zebra One Gallery, based in Perrin’s Court, Hampstead, took residence in the hotel’s River Room for a one-night-only exhibition of original photographs of Kate Moss to mark the supermodel’s 40th birthday.

Upon arrival a host of stars from reality television show Made In Chelsea were strewn about the room.

So it was comforting to bump into a television personality from closer to home who proudly revealed she never misses reading an edition of this newspaper.

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips, 70, who lives in Belsize Park, chatted to Heathman after posing for a photo beside a portrait of a naked Kate Moss, assuring him she bought the Ham&High every week without fail.

So enjoy this week’s edition, Arlene. Long may your devotion to this newspaper continue.
