A female cyclist was taken to hospital with injuries after a collision with a lorry in Finchley Road this afternoon.

The road towards Golders Green was cordoned off as police. ambulance and fire crews rushed to the the accident at around 4.25pm near the junction with Heath Drive.

A Met police spokesman said: “We are at the scene following reports that a female cyclist was trapped after a collision with a lorry. The woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her body. Fortunately her injuries are not life-threatening.”

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “We were called to the scene at 4:24pm. When we got there the woman was no longer trapped. We made the scene safe and left at 5pm.”
